Mario's first feature length film will release on the 7th April 2023, and with a superstar cast it's one of the “must see” movies of the year. The film is being made by Illumination, who are well known for the Minions and Despicable Me franchises. So if you or your kids are fans of their work, the Mario Movie will be a great watch.

The plot will most likely follow the standard Mario adventure - rescuing Princess Peach from the villainous king of koopas Bowser. There of course will also be plenty of Mario's friends along the way too, like Luigi, Toad and more!

A high budget animated Mario movie won't be complete without a stellar cast. Playing the famous red plumber is Chris Pratt, who you might know from his role as Star Lord in the hit Marvel film Guardians Of The Galaxy or Owen Grady in the Jurassic World franchise. And playing the nefarious Bowser is the highly loved Jack Black, best known for his leading role in School of Rock. He  claims he will bring some of his “heavy metal roots” to the role of Bowser, having a “musical side”. So expect some great sing along action! 

With plenty more well known names in the cast list, The Super Mario Bros Movie is a must see.
